Jakub Hudaček

Jakub Hudaček (born May 4, 2004) is a Slovak singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer and a producer based in Slovakia. He is the lead vocalist and primary songwriter of the alternative band Midheaven and works as a composer for theatre productions. Jakub’s artistic journey began long before Midheaven took shape. As a teenager, he started writing and recording original guitar compositions as early as 2018, sharing his earliest work on SoundCloud and YouTube. These early experiments, blending emotive vocal lines with intimate guitar textures, laid the groundwork for what would become his distinct musical voice — one that favors emotional depth, atmospheric arrangement, and storytelling over flash and virtuosity.

Music

With Midheaven, Jakub explores themes of distance, memory, transition, healing, and emotional uncertainty. His music often reflects transitional moments in life and draws inspiration from personal experiences and seasonal emotions — creating space for listeners to slow down and engage with feeling rather than narrative resolution. The band’s sound is characterized by slow-building arrangements, restrained intensity, and a blend of acoustic and electric textures that evoke introspection and atmospheric nuance. Midheaven

Midheaven was formed in 2021 in Slovakia by Jakub Hudaček and drummer Matej Harhovský, later joined by bassist Julián Jurčík. The trio’s collaborative approach melds emotional storytelling with deliberate, atmospheric musical landscapes — an aesthetic that has attracted listeners who seek depth and sincerity in contemporary alternative music. Under Jakub’s creative leadership, the band has released several notable recordings, including the 2025 EP Glories Streaming from Heaven, featuring singles such as “Stairs You Have To Climb,” “At Least Not Today,” and “Trust.” These releases reflect Jakub’s lyrical focus on longing, hope, and human connection, often set against subtle, spacious arrangements that emphasize mood and reflection. Beyond recorded material, Jakub and Midheaven continue to build their presence through live performances and organic audience engagement, emphasizing genuine connection and artistic honesty over spectacle.

Theatre

In addition to his work with Midheaven, Jakub composes original music for theatre productions. He collaborated with his sister on the performance Chudaćzek, providing instrumental compositions and sound design that support the show’s narrative texture and emotional landscape. This multidisciplinary work demonstrates his ability to adapt his musical sensibilities to dramatic contexts, enhancing storytelling through sound.
